Join the Northern Michigan Mountain Bike Association for its Annual Meeting on Sunday, January 14. We’re bringing together NMMBA members from across the region to gather feedback and share our plans for the year ahead.
Why Our Annual Meeting Matters
Hosting an annual meeting is so important to our organization that it’s written into our bylaws. Over the years, we’ve experimented and refined the format to ensure it provides values for members and our board by meeting several objectives.
- Transparency - The event is our opportunity to present information, priorities, and decisions. We encourage members to ask questions and hold our board accountable.
- Feedback - We rely on surveys and informal communication to solicit feedback all year long. The Annual Meeting, however, brings hundreds of stakeholders together to brainstorm and discuss immediate and long-term campaigns.
- Honor Our Members - We’ll award the Dan Morley Award for outstanding service to NMMBA and the trails, plus recognize NMMBA sponsors making notable contributions to our organization. NMMBA will also thank board members who are ending their tenure after years of service and leadership.
The Details
The 2024 NMMBA Annual Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, January 14 from 5-8 pm at Timber Ridge. Per NMMBA bylaws, the Annual Meeting is only open to current members in good standing as of the day of the meeting. Food and refreshments will be provided!
